鈥淭his is the best diploma I鈥檝e ever received.鈥
It wasn鈥檛 exactly a diploma that Donna Thompson received when her named was announced during a 自慰视频 chapel. As a matter of fact, the recognition didn鈥檛 even require class credits. But after 20 years of friendship and counsel to female students, Thompson has now 鈥済raduated鈥 to the status of Honorary 自慰视频 Alumna.
Thompson, who has served as dean of women, chaplain to women, and assistant dean for spiritual formation (women), was all smiles after the surprise proclamation was made, bringing Thompson and Jay, her husband of 44 years, to the stage.
鈥淚 love this place and it has been a humble privilege to serve here,鈥 Thompson said after the Chapel, noting her calling to touch women鈥檚 lives through 鈥渕entoring, dicipling relationships.鈥
鈥淲hich is why I still have so many alum who still bless me,鈥 Thompson added. 鈥淭he intentionality and the opportunity to humbly pour into these people鈥檚 lives for God鈥檚 glory. And I learn from them. So, it has been a mutual edification process.鈥
A plaque noting Thompson鈥檚 honor was presented to her by Alumni Director Peggy Lee Manoogian and Vice President Diane Mull in recognition of Thompson鈥檚 鈥渇aithful service to our students 鈥 and continued ministry to our alumni worldwide.鈥 It also noted Thompson鈥檚 鈥渉eart for dicipling, guiding, caring and praying鈥 for those under her care 鈥 and her 鈥渨illingness to go above and beyond鈥 as well as her 鈥済odly example of putting Christ first above all else.鈥
