Admission Requirements
- Students will meet the general admittance requirements for the Nursing major and then apply to the Nursing Program after their sophomore year.
- Nursing majors who have completed the prerequisites for the Nursing Program will need the following:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all prerequisite coursework
- “C” or better in each prerequisite course
- Science prerequisites must be completed within the last 5 years
- 70% or higher on the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)
- Satisfactory score on the TOEFL (80 internet-based or 570 paper-based) or the IELTS intl. Academic Course Type 2 (6.5) for applicants whose native language is not English
- Personal interview with the BSN Admissions committee
- Students may not be on probation, must not have any disqualifying offenses, and will need to complete a background check and drug screen prior to beginning the Nursing Program.
- First time freshmen and select transfer students can receive priority admission based on a 3.5 high school GPA and 1100 SAT (520 or higher on math) or 22 on ACT (20 or higher on math). Priority students will have a spot saved in the nursing program for them, provided they continue to meet the grade requirements for program admission and interview with the BSN admissions committee.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing does not provide licensure. Upon completion of the BSN program students will be eligible to sit for RN licensure. All students should be aware that states vary in their educational and professional requirements depending on the profession. Some states require specific educational requirements, clinical requirements, accreditation requirements, or exam requirements.
